Haute Couture Fall 2014 Part 2/2

When I started choosing my favorite outfits from Valentino Couture Fall 2014 and downloading pictures from style.com, I finally realized that I had chosen almost every single photo. Dresses inspired from the 19th century accompanied by roman leather sandals, fluid materials and hand painted flowers on organza created one of the most complete Haute Couture fashion shows for this season.

Among my favorite pieces are the monochrome long dresses in black, red and emerald green perfectly tied with leather strapping details .

Although you probably know that you will never be able to afford these dresses or even find the appropriate occasion to wear them Elie Saab can always make you dream. This season, although he is also experimenting with prints, he remains faithful to the dresses women love embellishing them with pearls and wrapping them softly in furs.

I always love the collections Zuhair Murad is creating. And I can already imagine a lot of these dresses walking down the red carpet. This season I am really obsessed with the mini dresses he has created, always keeping in mind that his audience is getting younger and younger.

Haute Couture Fall 2014 - Part 1/2

The Haute couture fashion week in Paris is over and we tune in to catch up with the designers’ innovative ideas for Fall 2014.
Each of them has their own identity but a simple color seems to connect them all; white. In the question “Is white the new black”, they probably answer “yes”, most of them remaining faithful to the color of innocence combining it with the always beloved black and breaking the monotony with some red, blue, khaki, pink or purple.

Classic, passionate and innocent…or in other words black, red and white were the colors Giorgio Armani chose for his Prive 2014 collection. Chic outfits accessorized with short gloves, small bags  and veils took us back to the elegance of 60s.

The collection Raf Simons presented for Christian Dior was the synonym of absolute simplicity. Clear lines, belted, nipped-in waists and volumes still reminded us of the legendary 1954 New Look but in his collection we were also able to see the modern woman, wearing this amazing khaki dress at work. The coats whether long or short make us long for the cold winter nights. Simons opted this time for natural make-up and hairdos which gave a more innocent tone to the catwalk presentation.

The master of bows and flowers, Giambatista Valli, never forgets what women want and he does everything to make them happy. This time he adds stripes in his creations and the result is really amazing. Head bows and sunglasses complete the looks.

Molded, structured and perfectly mastered dresses…Drawing inspiration from baroque and architecture Karl Lagerfeld presents once again a collection to remember.

Luxurious, mysterious, sexy…This is the woman  Donatella Versace loves and that’s what we saw on the designer’s catwalk for the Haute Couture collection. Black, white, royal blue and purple, luxurious materials, daring cuts and … make-up completed the designer’s vision.
